My Son

Savas Kade Steen

I'm watching you sleep and I love you. I love you more than words can describe, and I cannot remember what life was without you. You are my angel and I am so blessed you picked me to be your mommy. I'm lucky and that's that. I love the way you look for me when you wake up and when you see I'm right there you feel better. I love your little cute mouth. I love your soft skin. I love your big blue eyes. I love each teeny weeny finger and toe. I love the way you get so excited. I love that lately you try to bite every thing and everyone. I love how you're learning to roll over. I love that you have your daddy's nose. I love your long eye lashes. I love that you love bananas. I love when you fake cry to get me to look at you. I love love love your sweet smile, your sweet heart, your sweet spirit. Thank you God for giving me this beautiful child to call my own. I LOVE YOU...

Explorer Savas

Savas being adorable, as usual. This is his Easter hat, his Grandpa Hart gave him.

A Day at the Gun Club

Every year the guys in my family participate in the Magna Gun Club competition, this year only two of my brothers, Kenny and Cody did. They did pretty good. Here is a picture of Savas and Kira, it was windy that day!

Easter

Happy Easter! It was a fun day, we colored eggs, went to breakfast at my Grandma's house and watched Kira, my neice, find all the Easter eggs the Easter Bunny left behind and then went to our friends, Heather and Lisa's, for a bbq and another egg hunt. Good food and good people.

Dark hair

I don't know if you noticed but I actually dyed my hair.... dark. I've been blonde my whole entire life and loved every minute of it but I just had to see if I liked the dark side. At first it was cool, but now... I'm over it. I want to go back blonde but I can't afford to bleach my hair... it will die, and lets face it... that would be really sad. This is a picture of me wearing Brian's goggles that he uses while blowing glass. cute huh?

Grandma and Grandpa Steen came to visit

Last month, Tom and Donna, Brian's parent's, came to visit us. It was great having them, we didn't go do a whole lot but just staying home visiting was fun. One of the days we went to Coppercreek grill for lunch which was really yummy, and then after went to see The Great Salt Lake. Savas was pissed to be in the car. I don't know why, Donna and I were right there in the backseat with him but he was screaming the whole time which didn't make for much fun. It was a short weekend visit but it was great. Thanks for coming!

Update on Savas

Savas is getting so big, as of his last Dr's appointment he weighs 18lbs! He is so cute though, he loves to smile, and giggle. He grabs everything, especially my hair. Sometimes he just looks at it and tickles his face with it, and then other times he gets those little fingers all twisted up in it and pulls it so hard! He has been sick lately with some virus, we all have... if summer ever comes maybe that will go away, but we have been really lucky he hasn't gotten too sick. RSV season is just about over, thank goodness. Here are a couple of cute things about him:

1- You should see how his face glows and gets so happy when his daddy gets home from work.

2- Brian has taught him how to balance, he stands him up in his hands and they practive balancing

3-He loves getting raspberries on his tummy and one day he totally gave me one on my neck. haha

4-He is learing to roll, he can roll from his tummy to his back and he is sooooo close from going back to tummy. He can push himself around though with his feet.
5-Its probably a coincidence but sometimes he repeats things I say. One time he was like, "I knoooooow" haha.. and I had just said that. Weird right?
