My Son

Savas Kade Steen

I'm watching you sleep and I love you. I love you more than words can describe, and I cannot remember what life was without you. You are my angel and I am so blessed you picked me to be your mommy. I'm lucky and that's that. I love the way you look for me when you wake up and when you see I'm right there you feel better. I love your little cute mouth. I love your soft skin. I love your big blue eyes. I love each teeny weeny finger and toe. I love the way you get so excited. I love that lately you try to bite every thing and everyone. I love how you're learning to roll over. I love that you have your daddy's nose. I love your long eye lashes. I love that you love bananas. I love when you fake cry to get me to look at you. I love love love your sweet smile, your sweet heart, your sweet spirit. Thank you God for giving me this beautiful child to call my own. I LOVE YOU...

Explorer Savas

Savas being adorable, as usual. This is his Easter hat, his Grandpa Hart gave him.

A Day at the Gun Club

Every year the guys in my family participate in the Magna Gun Club competition, this year only two of my brothers, Kenny and Cody did. They did pretty good. Here is a picture of Savas and Kira, it was windy that day!

Easter

Happy Easter! It was a fun day, we colored eggs, went to breakfast at my Grandma's house and watched Kira, my neice, find all the Easter eggs the Easter Bunny left behind and then went to our friends, Heather and Lisa's, for a bbq and another egg hunt. Good food and good people.

Dark hair

I don't know if you noticed but I actually dyed my hair.... dark. I've been blonde my whole entire life and loved every minute of it but I just had to see if I liked the dark side. At first it was cool, but now... I'm over it. I want to go back blonde but I can't afford to bleach my hair... it will die, and lets face it... that would be really sad. This is a picture of me wearing Brian's goggles that he uses while blowing glass. cute huh?

Grandma and Grandpa Steen came to visit

Last month, Tom and Donna, Brian's parent's, came to visit us. It was great having them, we didn't go do a whole lot but just staying home visiting was fun. One of the days we went to Coppercreek grill for lunch which was really yummy, and then after went to see The Great Salt Lake. Savas was pissed to be in the car. I don't know why, Donna and I were right there in the backseat with him but he was screaming the whole time which didn't make for much fun. It was a short weekend visit but it was great. Thanks for coming!

Update on Savas

Savas is getting so big, as of his last Dr's appointment he weighs 18lbs! He is so cute though, he loves to smile, and giggle. He grabs everything, especially my hair. Sometimes he just looks at it and tickles his face with it, and then other times he gets those little fingers all twisted up in it and pulls it so hard! He has been sick lately with some virus, we all have... if summer ever comes maybe that will go away, but we have been really lucky he hasn't gotten too sick. RSV season is just about over, thank goodness. Here are a couple of cute things about him:

1- You should see how his face glows and gets so happy when his daddy gets home from work.

2- Brian has taught him how to balance, he stands him up in his hands and they practive balancing

3-He loves getting raspberries on his tummy and one day he totally gave me one on my neck. haha

4-He is learing to roll, he can roll from his tummy to his back and he is sooooo close from going back to tummy. He can push himself around though with his feet.
5-Its probably a coincidence but sometimes he repeats things I say. One time he was like, "I knoooooow" haha.. and I had just said that. Weird right?

Bye Camille and Schu

Our friends Camille, Schuyler and Mia moved to Phoenix February 1st, Schuyler is going to mechanics school and then after 18 months they are going to move back. They lived just across the street from us and we miss them so much. We basically hung out with them everyday, so it sucks that they're so far away now but hopefully we can go visit them and then before you know it they will be back. Here is a picture of when Camille came to visit me in the hospital, she is such a great friend. We had some other friends move in to the same house Heather and Lisa and their kids, they are tons of fun too.

Savas being cute

Happy Birthday to Me 24

It was March 5th. So weird to think that I'm 24... this is officially the last year of my early 20's! My life is basically over. Just kidding... kinda. Birthdays each year start to feel like any other normal day, I didn't do much, but Brian did get me some pretty flowers and took me to dinner at Ruths Diner, I told him I don't care where we go I just want to be like, "mmm this is so good" when I'm eating whatever it is from where ever we go. haha... well I did. I got the Reuben, it was delicious.

Our 1 year Anniversary

Brian and I basically eloped, he moved here in November of 2008, we went to Vegas in February 2009 and got hitched, it was really spontaneous and fun. We had people we loved there to support us and really, I'm glad we did it that way- Quick and Easy. Sometimes I would have like to have had a traditional wedding but then when I think about how much they are and all the stress that goes into it I quickly get over that dream. Anyways, this year has been the best year of my life, it has also been the hardest but overall the best. I am so thankful for him, we share many of the same dreams and I truly hope that each year only gets better. I love you Brian and thank you for all that you do. I could not imagine my life without you, you are the love of my life. Happy 1 year. We went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner which was very delish, I got meatloaf, who gets meatloaf when you go out to eat? Well I did, and if you ever go there just get it because I certainly did not regret my choice, it was awesome, it tasted like Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't get a picture of just us on that day, sadly, but here is a cute pic of the cutest guys I know.

Update

I clearly, have not been on here in a long time. Well, I mean I get on and check other peoples blogs but I don't have any motivation to update mine. Yes it will be great looking back at the stories I've told and the pictures I post but I'm lazy. I have some friends that update one picture a day to this 365 Days of blogging and I thought about it but was honest with myself that there was no way I could do it. I am proud of them though and enjoy seeing what they post. I'm not sure where to start but I think I'm gonna start with my wedding anniversary.
